Fiona Ma, CPA Joins AAPI Leaders in San Francisco

In San Francisco, a city shaped by generations of Asian American and Pacific Islander leadership, I had the opportunity to meet with AAPI community leaders, advocates, partners, and friends who are driving change across California.

We gathered to talk about the issues that matter most to our communities: economic opportunity, public safety, small business support, housing affordability, and ensuring that every family has a chance to thrive.

As the daughter of immigrants, this work is personal to me. I’ve seen firsthand the resilience, innovation, and leadership that define AAPI communities across our state. From small business owners to educators, from healthcare workers to public servants, AAPI leaders continue to shape California’s future in powerful ways.

In San Francisco and beyond, AAPI communities are not just part of California’s story, we are helping lead it.

These conversations are critical. They help inform how we build policies that reflect real experiences and deliver real results. Whether it’s supporting working families, strengthening local economies, or protecting our communities, I am committed to making sure AAPI voices are heard and represented at every level of government.

As we approach AAPI Heritage Month, I’m proud to stand alongside leaders who are advancing opportunity, equity, and inclusion across California.

Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive future.
