California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, CPA was proud to co-sponsor AB 65, which called for up to 14 weeks of paid pregnancy disability leave for California public school and community college employees. Governor Gavin Newsom later included funding for the proposal in his May Revision, and the policy was ultimately enacted through the 2026-27 State Budget.
