The California Federation of Labor Unions, AFL-CIO, has endorsed Fiona Ma for Lieutenant Governor.
“In the race for California Lieutenant Governor, the choice was clear,” said Lorena Gonzalez, President of the Labor Federation. “Fiona Ma has always been on the side of working families. She is a true champion for California’s workers, and the only candidate in the race that has demonstrated she always has our back.”
Ma was the sole candidate in the California Lieutenant Governor race to win the endorsement of the Labor Federation, which represents over 1,300 affiliated unions in California with over 2.3 million union members in trucking, retail, hospitality, janitorial, construction, health care, local and state government, education, arts and entertainment, warehousing and logistics, manufacturing, and every other sector of the economy.
“I am honored and grateful for the California Federation of Labor Unions’ endorsement,” said Ma. “The working members of the Labor Federation are the backbone of California’s economy, the fourth largest in the world.”
The backing of the state’s most powerful labor organization is the latest showing of union support for Fiona Ma. She has more than 50 other endorsements from organized labor – far outpacing her competitors.
