Fiona Ma joined early-childhood leaders, advocates and policymakers at First 5 California’s 2026 “Their Futures First” Summit in Anaheim.
In a fireside conversation with PBS SoCal’s Bonnie Boswell, Fiona discussed childcare, early education, healthcare, economic opportunity and the policies shaping the lives of California children and families.
The summit brought together leaders from across the state to focus on affordability, equity and giving children a strong start.
Fiona emphasized that family policy and economic policy are closely connected: when childcare, healthcare and education are out of reach, working families feel the pressure everywhere else in their budgets.
