Fiona Ma Mentee Jackie Smith Receives Lifetime Achievement Award From Placer County Democrats

California Lieutenant Governor candidate Fiona Ma was so proud of her good friend Jackie Smith for receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Placer County Democratic Party at their Roosevelt-Kennedy Dinner. 

Jackie shared how Eleni Kounalakis encouraged her to run for office, and Fiona Ma was honored to mentor her along the way after first supporting her at a CADEM Executive Board meeting.

After the 2018 election, Jackie and four other women wrote Step Up to Run to inspire more women to seek public office and serve their communities. Congratulations Jackie on this well-deserved honor!
